I AM FREE. PRAISE GOD AM FREE. I can now tell EVERYONE authoritatively that I have officially resigned from the Bank Early this year, my sister in law Uju said to me, Sister since I know you, you have been wanting to leave the Bank, it is when it happens that we will know. I love her very much and did not take offense. For everyone who is close and dear to me, you have heard me say, it is this year or that year. To the average person it may look like I was deceiving people. No I was not, I was being myself. I have a long piece to write in my years in banking. Certainly I will not malign the two banks I worked with but then i will say it as it is. I never allowed the bank to kill my creativity. That was my major gift to myself. I refused to bow to the pressure of bank work refused to sink and embrace self pity. I worked very very hard to create a balance between the bank work, my family, my social life and my other business life. It was very difficult but then it was also rewarding. While in the bank, I held, did and except indicated still hold/do the following; 1. Trustee Abuja Literary Society 2. Financial Secretary, Association of Nigerian Authors 3. President ASO Rock Stars Toastmasters Club. 4. Secretary of the womens group of our church for years before I resigned. 5. Interim President FGGC Benin Alumni. 6. I am in the childrens department 7. Tutored my children for their Exams 8. Wrote 3 books; with one getting to the finals of NLNG. 9. Written many short stories and two prominent books in the making 10. Regular on Facebook. 11. Sold books 12. Professional MC 13. Gave public speeches 14. Reviewed books 15. Attended writing workshops(was in Farafina workshop 2011) 16. Taught creative writing. I give God the glory. He preserved me all these years. Loved me passionately. Provided for me according to each day at a time principle. I thank my dear dear husband for all his support. Only my husband could have married a restless person like me. But I am a good wife to him sha o lol. But honestly, I sometimes dont feel deserving of this Amaimo gentleman of good breed. To all my friends the ones I am leaving behind; The Lord will perfect it. Ask Him to make the vision clearer. God bless you all. What I plan to do; I will first take myself out to a powerful place for lunch. Buy a good item as souvenir Do a thanksgiving ( imagine not seeing the 4 walls of a cell or prison or being asked to go) Prepare my doctor daughter for university for 1st time. Prepare the powerful performer Chukwu Chukwu for secondary school Go to the library every day to finish up all the unfinished work. Carry out MC jobs when available. Now my Bank series start. Did anything good come out from working in that stiff place where a core artiste prone to chattering, dancing, joking, restless come out from that place. certainly. God keep us alive. GOD IS VERY GOOD. VERY FAITHFUL. HE KNOWS THE END FROM THE BEGINNING
