I AM JUST A PILGRIM John 17:14 ‘I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.’ My precious friends in Christ, 1 Peter 2:11 calls us pilgrims on this earth. Once eternity becomes a reality to us through the blood of Jesus and His Holy Spirit begins to work in our hearts, we too cry out like Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:2 ‘For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven.’ Yes living for the Lord and longing to be with Him in heaven become our priority once the Holy Spirit takes control of our hearts and lives. As Galatians 5:24 says ‘Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires’. Yes for a Christian filled with the Holy Spirit, being in the presence of God and enjoying His glory is what will bring great and overflowing joy. Yes beloved that is what the Holy Spirit does inside of you when you submit to Him. He transforms you into the image of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18) and as Galatians 2:20 says ‘I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.’ Yes beloved we become like the people of the Bible who as said in Hebrews chapter 11 never bothered much about the earthly things or the trials they suffered because their eyes and heart were so fixed on the heavenly and the eternal. Yes beloved you are just passing through this earth. Earth is a temporary stopover on your way to your eternal home right in the arms of the Lord Jesus. So do not be sad that people make fun at your holy lifestyle and do not think that for even a minute that maybe the world also can give joy. The world gives and takes it back. But Jesus gives and keeps increasing the joy, peace and blessings and prepares you to meet Him in the air. All we have to do is obey Him in all aspects and give Him priority in our lives.
