~ I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST.. ~ These words were echoed throughout Pauls ministry.... The Gospel of the grace of God was given by revelation to the Apostle Paul.. For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ. Gal 1:11-12 The gospel of the grace of God is one of the Holy Spirits titles of the Good News that we as believers proclaim to the world... Various names are given to it in the Scriptures: Romans 1:1 calls it the gospel of God for He is its Author.. Romans 1:16 calls it the gospel of Christ for He is the Theme.. Ephesians 6:15 terms it the gospel of peace for this is its inheritance. Acts 20:24 calls it the gospel of the grace of God for this is its Source. Grace is a truth that is peculiar to divine revelation.. Law and Gospel are antithetical terms: The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. JN 1:17 The Law manifested what was in man- SIN; Grace manifests what is in God- Love and Mercy The Law speaks of what man must do for God; Grace tells what God has done for man The Law demanded righteousness from man; Grace brings righteousness to men The Law brought out God to men; Grace brings in men to God The Law sentenced living man to death; Grace brings a dead man to life The Gospel is the revelation of the grace of God. It speaks of what Christ did for sinners and what they could not do for themselves. It satisfied the demands of Gods law.. Christ has completely and fully met all the requirements of Gods holiness and made it possible for Him to receive every lost sinner who comes to Him.. He justifies by His shed blood on the cross to the uttermost and is our Mediator between God and man... The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes.
