I Aim To Please I appreciate that the wife mentioned the christmas present she received from me in yesterdays posting. But I really dont think she understood the effort I went to so that she received what she so desired. The pink drill. Only so many were made by Makita in pink(opposed to the traditional blue) for breast cancer awareness week. On going online and ringing so many tool firms the week before christmas I was informed they had all sold out. However Tool Shop Direct came back to me to say they had tracked one down and had in sent directly from Makita the following day. The drama didnt stop there. Do read my note I left on front door. We missed the delivery on the 22nd and was informed if not in the following day , the delivery firm in question would require us to drive to collect it ourselves on the 24th. A distance of 50 miles to Exeter ! I found the parcel in the garage on the evening of the 23rd. No bell ring. Santa? Oh such relief, particularly as santa had used citylink delivery firm and we in the uk know unfortunately what happened to them on christmas eve. Thankyou to that driver too .
