I CREATE MY OWN LIGHT BY DRAWING ON THE LIGHT OF ALL THAT AM SURROUNDED......I am blessed that my mind is that of a beautiful servant.........MAGICAL. Today is my 10th day since I underwent major surgery that reduced my risk of getting breast cancer from 40% to 1%....WOOHOO! In May 2013, I was confronted with a life compelling situation that took me off course to how I previously believed was a life long plan providing me with a blueprint that I was doing all I could to ensure I was staying vigilant as a carrier of a BRCA1 malfunctioning gene by following Drs Orders and doing all I could to make sure I was on track where early detection and preventative measures for breast cancer were a concern. Medical and Genetic advancement has accelerated somewhat since 1998 the time when I was genetically tested and had learnt that I was a carrier of a defective or malfunctioning BRCA1 gene and learnt of the detriments that came with it. I claim that one of the things I like to do is certainly be ABREAST of the times and I certainly did that by sticking close to my medicos. Today I can say that this has been a life enhancing experience that steered me slightly off course and which also reminds me just how fixed I became in my ways to believe I was doing the best I could....in fact I had been....it was just things changed from another perspective....a medical, scientific, genetic,educational, etc....one that I am not so familiar one ....therefore this area is where I can excercise mindfulness...to identify when I am so set in my ways and to remind myself to step back a bit and draw of this experience in an effortless way. I am so grateful for everyone for their understanding, compassion and encouragement and all the support I needed so that I could work and sustain a good level of spirits over the past 13 months as well as over the past 10 days where I believe I was in the best hands which included my own hands.....GOD BLESS....NAMASTE....THANK YOU XO
