Today I prayed the following for my own husband and I challenge you to do the same: Dear Lord, I know that the devil is out prowling for the heart of our husbands, seeking to distract them, to tear them down, to pull his spiritual eyes from You, and to offer them the passing pleasures of this world. Lord, Satan is using this world, its acceptance of evil, its deceptive and selfish men, its sensual temptations, and its promiscuous women to try to trip them up to lose sight of the spiritual prize.I pray that you would fill our husbands with a desire, a hunger, a burning passion for the Wisdom found only in you, the knowledge that is of eternal things, the understanding of that which is eternal. Consume the mind of our man of God so that he is protected from his own heart, from the passing distractions of this world, and from the wiles of this harm-seeking devil.Teach us, Lord, to serve him more excellently, to pray for him more effectively, and to love him more completely.Amen
