I DONT CARE IF BUNDY IS A RACIST!!!!!! THAT DOESNT CHANGE THE FACTS. Here is history: Bureau of Land Management seized Bundy’s cattle because in 1993 the federal govt seized this land and made it theirs. Whats happened here is Govt officials get involved to a limited extent Gov of Nevada says theirs an atmosphere of intimidation. Remember the govt shut down? Same thing the feds intimidate Veterans (I’m going somewhere with this) Govt officials claim Bundy Ranch hasnt paid $1.1 Million dollars in fees, but they hired contractors for 2 Million to collect on a debt they claim. The Bundy ranch claims theyve been on this land since the 1800’s, before dept of interior or BLM were ever there. The Fed govt owns 80% of the land in Nevada. In 1864 when Nevada joined the union, they gave the land to the fed govt at that time they were supposed to sell it back within 40 years but they didnt fulfill their contract. In the 1990’s the legislature change the Nevada constitution that they no longer recognize the federal govt claim to the land. So we have conflicting reports here from competing govt agencies. The Federal Govt., and the Nevada Govt (states rights) The Federal govt says they own it, Nevada says they own it. Ranchers say ‘This is public land to begin with” But all you have to do is LOOK TO THE US CONSTITUTION to get your answer. The constitutional concerns are this: The Federal govt set up a FREE SPEECH ZONE but the govt doesnt have a right to set up a free speech zone, ALL AREAS IN AMERICA ARE FREE SPEECH ZONES. Educational Campuses are free speech zones. That’s BULL. We have FREE SPEECH according to the US CONSTITUTION First Amendment PERIOD! The issue of the ownership of this land Look at article ! section 8 clause 17 is called the enclave clause deals with the authority of congress, they’re ability you own land. The specific conditions by which the govt can own land is SPECIFIC. There is no protection of turtles or anything like that. There is NO provision for the govt to own land to protect an endangered species The Bureau of Land Management says they’re only MANAGING THE LAND. However, we can’t rely on court to be the final arbitrator or to determine our right. Elbridge Gary was Pres.Madison’s Vice President said the “regarding the govt purchase of land could be used to enslave the people” The bottom line is this: THE FEDERAL GOVT. HAS NO RIGHTS TO THIS LAND PERIOD!!!!!!!!!They have gotten away with this for far too long!!!!!!
