I Declare there is a story we need to tell Many know the story very well It’s a story that the whole world needs to hear And it’s up to you and me to spread it throughout the year A story above all others we have known The story of what Jesus did to bring us home Jesus was “The Word” that was with God from the beginning of time And “The Word” became flesh for your soul and mine For thirty three years He walked upon this earth So that you and I could be rebirthed He healed, He teached, while He was here Grace and Truth, is what He planted in our hearts and for us to hear Every day He walked towards the distination He was sent here for Knowing full well what He would have to bore God punished all our sins upon Jesus that day He paid the price, there was no other way Tell the story of what He has done God wants it to be told to everyone Let people know they have been set free By what Jesus did while hanging on a tree He chose to leave the Heaven’s above And all because of His unending love Do not let this day slip away Without telling the story of what Jesus did that day It’s “The Greatest Story” that has ever been told Tell it to everyone the young, and the old Keep telling the story as long as you can Until we cross over into the “Promise Land” Where we will no longer tell the story you see We will be with Jesus living out what He has done for you and me This is my declaration
