I FEEL I DID NOT FULLY EXPLAIN MY POINT THE WAY I INTENDED ON THE TRYING TO TWIST THE HAND OF GOD (Part 1.a [THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS NOT THE WAY-SHOWER, HE IS THE WAY). [so this is Part 1.b] My point was, when the Lord Jesus Christ told His apostles to tarry at Jerusalem and wait until the Holy Spirit comes upon them, then they can go and witness for Him. By obeying this command was their testimony that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Way, especially since it happened as He said it would hence giving all the glory to God. But the way the apostles appointed the new 12th apostle demonstrates that The Lord Jesus is the way-shower and not the way, they took matters in their own hands by casting lots, as a result the glory goes to them and not God and also their gratitude towards God is not the same as it wouldve been had the Lord instructed them. The Lord did not tell them to fast or read His Word more so that He shows them what to do, otherwise they were going to fill that they deserved that blessing that the Lord handed to them especially since they did something to attain it. For instance when you work, you expect a salary at every month end, and youre not that grateful since you worked for it. The same thing applies if you fast, pray or read the Bible more often so that God does something for you. In Hebrews 11, before explaining what the saints of old did, God first starts with, BY FAITH so and so did this and my example is by faith the apostles tarried in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit came upon them, or by faith Kesegofetse waited until God brought him a wife. It is our faith that yearns good works, not the other way around. Thats why James 4 says faith without works is dead it is our faith that makes us do good deeds otherwise we get the glory and not God, and our thankfulness is not as it should be towards God, we then do it out of necessity.
