I FINALLY posted pictures from Japan!!!!! It was an epic trip! Unlike any other trip I have taken. It is strange and challenging being completely illiterate, but you get comfortable with being totally lost and not knowing what you are eating or buying. You learn to roll with the punches and just enjoy it for what it is...a completely new experience :) During the weekend, I had my boss (who is Japanese) help me along on Saturday and I just wandered around by myself on Sunday, which was a great!!! Work...is very difficult with the language barrier and I found myself speaking broken English to people to help the process...which is strange haha. I could go on forever about my trip to Japan but what I learned most is how to completely give up control. When you dont understand ANYTHING, just learn to live with that and you realize that everything will be ok. I was scheduled to stay longer but I had to come back for my Ironman lol. I arrived in AZ Thursday at 3pm and was able to handle jet lag through my Ironman Sunday (though I did catch myself yawning during the bike lol). Now...I am sick, but thats ok!! My body did me a solid handling Japan and a 16 hour time zone difference and an Ironman...I am ok with being sick :) I am scheduled to go back to Japan in Feb/March...hopefully that trip will not fall through! CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!!
