I FIND THIS ARTICLE QUITE INTERESTING AND I WILL WANT MORE NIGERIANS TO BE EDUCATED AND NOT WRONGLY INFORMED: Cherish Akpiti: In Nigeria every person is an expert to all issues, even foot ball, they know more than the couch, the biggest ignorants on any issue are the highest noise makers.our refinaries are not working to it ful capacity since, licence had been given to private companies to build refinaries but the market in Nigeria is discouraging them to start building, bcos no business will strive were the govt determines the market, that was why the president wanted to completely remove subsidy for the market dynamics to control itself.but Nigerians in 2011 resisted the govt with protests.THIS IS THE REPERCUSSION TO THAT OUR ACTION.since the greater consumption rate of fuel in Nigeria depend on importation, have u care to know the expenses involve in d importation of refined oil product expenses incured now to juxtapose with the realities on ground b4 ur analysis.I WAS PREVILAGED TO INTERACT WITH ONE OF THE BIG OIL MARKETERS IN PORT HARCOURT YESTERDAY BEEN 19/1/15.SHE TOLD ME THAT,THIS IS THE HIGHEST CUT DOWN OF FUEL PRICE SINCE SHE JOIN D OIL MARKET FOR ABOUT 30YRS NOW.SHE OWNS THE CHELSEA OIL FILLING STATION INCLUDING MORE THAN TEN OTHERS SCATTERED IN NIGERIA.she ask me,if I know what it takes to cut down even #2.from here,it was revealed that, the 2nd quarter of import is already been ordered even though the govt have not yet paid for product delvered by the subsidy contractors for some months.infact, there is a serious shock in the market, many have already paid according to the old arrangement,if u go to the oil deport, the whole place is quiet n deserted, ppl are very reluctant to do business.SO MR MAN, THE MARKET IS NOT CONTROLED BY THAT UR APC ARITHEMATICS TO DECIEVE PPL,BUT THERE ARE MARKET ELEMENTS THAT CONTROLS THE DYNAMICS OF THE OIL MARKET.what am saying is that,#10 cut down is managable for a start,if d govt cut deeper than this, then we shall expect crises in the oil sector too, which the oposition are interested to trade with.THE APC ARE JUST NOT HAPPY ON THE METICLOUSITY OF D GOVT.
