I FOUND HER.( For Lovers of Literature) He sat down and thought of when he was still in primary school and all that happened to him. He just got back from school. The room was neat and tidied up, he still couldnt stop thinking of Gloria as he walked to his bed and dropped his bag. Still on his feet, wondering if she could be as beautiful as that. Series of questions were just flowing through his mind, have I not seen her before? He kept wondering that she was his seat mate when they were in primary six, so where is the crush now coming from? As if he had never set his eyes on her before, whats coming over me? His remaining friends wouldnt know he had fallen for Gloria theyd still be thinking that he was the holiest among them, some already had several girlfriends there in the school. She must be mine! He hit his hand on his right lap and kept wondering about her. They had walked a very long distance that day which has made him interact with her. Should I just ask her out? He sat on the bed and scratched his head. Me? He chuckled and laid on the bed. He couldnt help himself until he picked his phone and sent Gloria the text message, asking her out. He dropped the cell phone on the bed and expected that hed meet her reply before hed finish bathing. He entered into the bathroom to have a cold shower as usual. It was his mother that taught him to always take a cold bath everyday because of his rancid sweat, after walking a long distance. He looked around the bathroom and noticed it was neater than he left it in the morning. The room also had been cleared and tidied. He smiled happily as he went under the shower. He stood under the shower for minutes, thinking about Glorias beauty. She was a tall, dark and extremely beautiful young girl who didnt like guys generally but chose him as her friend because of his brilliance and intelligence. Her school uniform would always be clean, she was neat and always responsible. She was the office girl. I pray this girl wont make me fail this waec examination .. He had smiled as he closed the shower cubicle, picked the towel that was hung beside him and stepped aside. He walked out of the bathroom, after putting on his shorts and going straight to his wardrobe to pick his night wares, he heard his phone vibrate. His heartbeat increased almost immediately, he wasnt sure if he should shut the wardrobe and go to check the phone. He shook his head in disapproval and brought out his wares, smiling happily. He got to his bed and neglected his phone. This kind of surprise should be left till tomorrow morning.. He mumbled and went to the living room. He didnt bother to touch his phone until the next morning when he woke up to view the surprise package and open the message, which he thought would be a positive reply from Gloria. It was MTNs message, your account balance is too low to carry out the transaction, you can recharge and send it again .. He stood up on his feet and the two eyes were wide open. His facial appearance showed how indignant he was. This is rubbish! He cheered and flung his cell phone to the other side of the mattress.
