I HAD A GREAT WEEKEND! #WEEKSTART Yesterday, I was in Baguio to give a talk to some young professionals and students. Though a huge group requested for a reschedule and thus, were not able to come, we still had a wonderful time learning from one another. With less attendance, we were able to entertain more questions. #thingsworkforgoodINHISNAME Then had a dinner with my family. And yes, it was good to embrace my mother once again. Note: It was only in 2011 that I learned to embrace my mother. Man, its a magic. Sometimes, distance makes you appreciate closeness. #itwasashortsweettime Today, my morning started with bedtime after arriving. Then attended the Feast PICC for a nourishing mass and powerful talk. Then unintentionally met my friend Milmarch Nacino - congrats for successfully graduating in your Radical Training - had a late lunch at around 4pm hehe. At 4:30 pm, I was at the CCP to witness the Presentation Ceremonies of the Ramon Magsaysay Awards for 2014. It was inspiring listening to their stories. It was also nice to see Pres. Noynoy address the awardees and the audience with a good speech. As the ceremonies ended, we squeezed ourselves in the crowd to take some pictures with the awardees and shake their hands. Yes, they are ordinary people too - they have ordinary hands just like yours and mine. They just made a choice to do their thing extraordinarily well. That made them worthy of the award. But the award is just the tip of the iceberg. I suppose, the real pleasure they have is their day-to-day activities furthering the cause that they chose. (Thanks, Dr. Volts Victoria for extending the invitation to us, and Ayl Villojan - it was good to witness events like this with friends around!) I did not bring my camera to capture all these moments. But I definitely savored them. Oh, what I have are pictures from the seminar in Baguio. Thanks to my manong insan Tin Dao-anis for taking pictures along with Kevin. And yes, thanks again to Kevin Philip D Gayao, Tom and their team for inviting me. Til our next schedule in September. Thanks as well to the students and yuppies who got their copies of my book, The Gift of the Ordinary #toGODbetheGLORY #whatagreatENDandSTARToftheweek
