I HAVE RESUSCITATED MY IPHONE, THANKS TO THE RICE TREATMENT. Back home after a brief but very enchanting and exhilarating tour of Thailand. Our happy moments there were mired by my iPhone getting soaked in water during our visit to the Coral Islands near Pattaya. I lost my connectivity with the world as the phone went dead. Immediately on arrival at the Hotel room from the beach, I tried drying it using a hair dryer to revive it. But my repeated and frustrating efforts were in vain. I remembered a forward that I received some months ago in which someone suggested giving a dead iPhone (due to water entering it) a Rice Treatment. So, using my wifes phone and the free WiFi available at the hotel, I Googled for it and found many entries in which the Rice Treatment was recommended. As a last resort I decided to try this. But in Pattaya on that night I couldnt find where I could get some rice. So it got delayed till the next day. On the next day we were back in Bangkok and went visiting the Safari World there. On our return at the hotel we went for a short walk at night and found a super market where I searched and found a 1kg packet of rice. I bought it, slit an opening on top and then buried my dead iPhone in it. As we were to return the next day, and as the instruction on the Rice Therapy said that the phone should remain buried in rice for about 36 hrs, I sealed the rice bag nice and proper so that the rice wont spill in to my bag. Today after reaching home the first thing I did was to remove the phone and see if the treatment worked. At first there was no signs of life. I cleaned the face and back of it, shook down a few grains found in its ear plug jacket and then put it on charging. After about an hour when I long pressed the power button, to my astonishment, I found the Apple logo on the screen. I was overjoyed. But it remained only for a few minutes because the screen went black again. I left it and tried again after a few minutes. This time it booted up and I could see the home screen with all logos in it. HOORAY !!!!!!!!! I HAVE RESURRECTED MY iPhone, thanks to the Rice Treatment. So, here I am, typing out this message on my newly revived iPhone and vouchsafing for the procedure to REVIVE a completely wet and soaked iPhone through the Rice Treatment. :)
