I Had my car up on the lift today replacing the front brake calipers. As I was waiting for the parts to be delivered, I thought I might take a stroll up to the store for a cold drink. So I head out walking down the side walk when I see an unmarked Police SUV headed my way. The windows were tinted so I couldnt see who was driving. The truck stopped, and backed up to where I was. He rolled down his window, and I saw it was a state investigator. We didnt know each other except to speak as we passed on the street. So he speaks to me, and I speak back. He then says whatcha toting there? a .38 or .357. I told him it was a .357 that would also take .38 specials. He gave me a grin and a thumbs up, and said, great choice. I said thanks, and he went on his way........ And that, ladies and Gentlemen is how an interaction between a law abiding citizen carrying a firearm and a Police Officer should go. And Kudos to that cop, who investigated me in a flash and found that there was no threat. Only a citizen exercising his constitutional right to bear arms without making a huge deal of the whole thing. Just thought Id share this with my peeps. Have a great week and Carry on.
