I Hate To Go To Movie Theaters, Because They Are Dark And They Are Hard To Navigate In, But Monday Night I Went With My Wife The Beloved Yon To See The Son Of God. I just wish someone had told me that the movie was a canny recycling -- taking several hours from the New Testament half of The Bible series DVD that I borrowed from Anthony to watch with my wife two weeks ago. I could have saved some money on the movie tickets. The funny thing is that they cut out Satan who lurked around the edges of the DVD version. There are no scenes of Jesus being tempted. In fact, his 40 days in the desert arent even here Jesus ministry feels sped up a bit, too, even watered down. The Sermon on the Mount is less than a minute and most of the parables passed over. To its credit, this is one of the few movies to emphasize Jesus heritage. We see him reading from the Torah and being given a Jewish burial. My review of both the Bible DVD and the movie Son of God -- well, they are both willing. But its spirit is weak.
