I KNOW for a fact some of you loved this cotton floss spiky tree as much as me and consider this a great Midtown loss!! Just TWO days ago I was passing by the beautiful Victorian mansion on 21st and T Street ffor the trillionth time admiring the tree, but for the first time really noticing its blooms happening sans foliage in the middle of December. I made a mental note to research it again (Id previously just looked up the name) and to get up on the lawn and take pics of its spiky trunk. Then Kerri Williams messaged it was downed. This actually hurts my heart a bit.
