I Know The Scriptures Are True. Once upon a time, before the world began, Heavenly Father called a counsel in heaven, and there presented a plan. Two stepped forward, both raised their hands, To put into motion the ‘Salvation of Man.’ Satan replied and said “Force them to till,” The other answered and said “If it be thy will.” Jesus was summoned to this earth, To be our Saviour in a must humble birth. A star appeared on that Holy Night, High in the sky, burning bright. From a babe to a child, he grew into a man, Putting forth into action his father’s plan. Jesus the Christ taught the children of God, There was a way to return, its name, ‘The Iron Rod.’ A mighty king to rule and reign, They rejected and crucified, treating him in distain. The Lamb of God spoke these precious words for me and you, ‘Father forgive them, for they know not what they do!’ Another child was raised to bring forth the Saviour’s name, Down through the ages, they waited; he came. A young boy named Joseph Smith, He had been born of goodly Parents. To know of God he knelt and prayed, Which church was true, in these Latter Days? Heavenly Father appeared, his Son at his side, To bring forth again what the world tried to hide. A book was given, it was the gate, To return to our Father, it was for us to partake. Joseph Smith the Prophet bore witness all of his life, Of the divinity of our Saviour, Jesus the Christ.
