I LOVE THIS IDEA! A place of worship shared by all religious groups. I think this is a unique but at the same time and important step forward to encourage interfaith and intercultural understanding. It provides an opportunity for members of different religious groups to not feel apprehensive about stepping into someone elses place of worship. I think what would be great is if this place is also educational, to provide office spaces within the grounds which also acts as a resource centre where patrons or worshippers can come in to learn more about the religion. Of course, this space can only be used for major events like Friday prayers for Muslims and Sunday mass for Christians. Im very comfortable with this idea because even when I was at UCI, we had our Friday prayers at the Interfaith trailer.
