I LOVE THIS MAN COMMENT, SO I HOPE IT WILL HELP ANYONE ON THIS PAGE.... When I first joined the (Novus Ordo) Catholic Church in 1994/95, I was under the assumption that they merely translated the Mass from Latin to English, and that the Mass was always like that. I didnt realize that Mass used to be said on marble altars, and that there was a railing separating the sanctuary from the rest of the church. I had much more to learn back then. And now I know that the whole Mass was re-written and translated, and I want nothing to do with it. I will go to the Mass that gave us the saints, virgins, martyrs, and doctors! I will go unto the altar of God, to God, Who giveth joy to my youth.
