I LOVE Washington for its beauty and mostly wonderful climate ( other than mud on this land, which is stopping us from a lot of turnout time, it is so deep and slippery.) My goal for this coming year is most llikely going to change. We have tried and tried to reach an agreement on this place and it just not happening. So, on the hunt for a place that a.) does not require hundreds of thousands in fix up . b.) is in a better location for finding like minded Arabian horse people. c.) Has either safe and finished facilties,or is simply devoid of anything but a well, power and septic. Crunching numbers to repair and replace, tells us that the latter would be a smarter move, given this needs so much done to it, we would have to double our outgo to make it work. The main reason we are not active in our horse activities is that for almost two years now we have been living in limbo, literally band- aiding and patching, waiting for other people to make decisions that are fair and reasonable. Life is too short for that, and I see a move , as soon as I find the right location. I would like to have the time to finish my writing , play with my horses, see my friends. I am really tired of not having the time or energy to do so, due to the constant maintenance and hard ,hard labor required to remain here without the freedom to actually do the repairs necessary because somebody paid too much for this property and is unable to be realabout its true value. Putting on my land search hat, and open to any options that I find, somewhere within a 1,000 miles of here> Ugh, I hate moving...but I hate limbo andno certain future far worse. So my Christmas gift to myself is to give up trying on this place, and look for an option that fits what our long term goal is. It is actually a relief to come to that conclusion.
