I LOVE fall...it is my favorite season.... Im not quite sure what it is about the smell in the rainy air, the sight of the gray skies, the feeling of the crisp breeze & the vulnerability of the naked trees...... But its emotionally drawing for me & I feel an unwarranted enthusiasm & an emotional forthcoming... perhaps its a combination of , approaching 7th step, more frequent visits to bodies of water (a place of connection & solace for me) &/or the authentic connections old & new that have cultivated the poetry of my own heart... This is season of the year represents a shedding of the old, cleansing & making space for renewal....& i am reminded that whats being lost never really goes away just like the fall leaves, but rather gathered and used as nourishment for the new.... for me..the sound of the rain falling can be described as God chimes, that penetrate every cell, cleansing, feeding & supporting the growth of my spiritual well-being.... there has been & are some things i feel a spiritual resistance to letting go of & what i have come to realize is....i have let go...what remains is exactly what i need, just like the many threads that make an entire cozy blanket....all the pieces of my life....ALL the pieces....are a part of my skin, my cells, my heart, my spirit & to deny or extinguish any parts of me that gave fire to my soul, is to deny who i am...who i exactly am...in this very moment.... I am quite sure what I love about fall....the current of the season runs very parallel with the undercarriage of my emotional being..... ah yes...... I LOVE fall....it is my favorite season....
