I LOVE the fact that President Obama signed the School Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act BUT think about these statements about what this law can do from these sources; provides a funding incentive to states that enact laws -AANMA law creates incentives-AAFA incentivizes states to adopt laws - FARE Yes, it is a big step. But before these big organizations start patting themselves on the back, remember. All this law does is provide funding opportunities for asthma education to states who go through the process of passing their own individual state law that decriminalizes a school to possess and administer epi to a dying child. It does not fund epis for school, it does not require epis in school, it does not even make it legal to have epis in school. WE HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO!
