I Love my Country, I believe the bulk of the American People are Good-hearted, fun people with creativity and humor, culture and gigantic hearts full of spirit and hope. Im proud to be an American and I believe in the dream, I believe weve a vast history both pretty and not pretty, weve had good leaders in the past,Jimmy Carter, John F Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King, and Maya Angelo all hail from here, and Inventors, and Musicians and Artists and I believe America is worth celebrating :) but this doesnt mean my eyes are closed to these troubling times, and as I celebrate Ill be wishing and praying we get our government back on track with the ideals we cherish;Life, Liberty and Justice for All and everything that goes with that. I will not bash my President, I feel He inherited a mess and I believe that as a elected leader He and his office deserve respect. but I cant be silent in the matter of our government being off track and the sadness I feel that corporations and the smallest fraction of people (the uber wealthy) have steam-rolled our rights and our safety, Ive said it before, NOW IS THE TIME FOR ALL GOOD PEOPLE TO WAKE UP. and maybe as we celebrate this Countrys birth hopefully ALL of us, no matter what we believe, liberal,conservative or lunatic fringe- might give a thought to how we can help these United States and in turn our beautiful World get back into the Light and away from these dark times.
