I Love the work and leader of Groundwork Opportunity! I am a dinner host for them this year, and a strong supporter. Its one of my favorite things to support other people and their stories. Groundworks supports on the ground, lovely people who know their communities. Please join me for the for the 5th Annual Groundwork Opportunities Dinner: “A Celebratory Soiree” on Thursday, March 20, 2014. This is a fundraising dinner to gather and learn more about the inspiring and important work of Groundwork Opportunities (GO). As you may know, GO is an amazing organization that invests in local leaders who have the capacity to end poverty in their communities and was founded by our very own Bart Skorupa. This year, GO is proud to announce two very special guests for the evening- esteemed GO Project Leader from Malawi, Samuel Magambo, and Emmy award-winning Bay Area celebrity and host of Foodie Chap, Liam Mayclem. Liam will emcee our first-ever live auction and fund-in-need, and Samuel will share his touching and inspiring story of courage, resiliency and how he is bravely being the change. The evening will begin with a VIP reception that will include fine wines, spirits and appetizers and provide you the opportunity to meet and chat with Samuel, Liam and GO Champions. This will be followed by a cocktail hour for all attendees and a formal, seated gourmet dinner. Throughout the evening, you will enjoy an open bar, live music and fascinating guest speakers.
