I Mourn Isaac. Until it affects someone we love, We don’t even know it’s there. It’s really not our problem, So why should we care. The statistics are quite shocking, One youth after the other, a friend after the other a neighbor after another, Isaac after Isaac Will ……….. Each day I live, the pain consumes, what I nostalgically have about my old friends, What little sainty we have bloomed, Like walking in a cloud of fog, Sinking into smog at no notice, The hand of death, so mean but mighty, Yet not right. Life to the parents of the gone youth, Seems grim, They think on a whim, I pray for restoration of faith, And interest in everything they do. But what a life, what a time…….. Who really new….? And why just ours…. So I write this but I believe we won’t fall from grace, Down from this place, a sudden waste, As he rests, with the timeless lord. The empty space at the table, the voice gone, We leave it unto the lord. REST IN PEACE ISAAC. By Auchi Ngonela
