I NEVER post these kinds of comments regarding other people’s - TopicsExpress

I NEVER post these kinds of comments regarding other people’s posts, but I guess today (or yesterday, depending on what time zone you’re in), I just feel compelled to comment. So, here goes……. For those of you (you know who you are) who used today’s anniversary of 9/11 to post political propaganda, satire and conspiracy theories, all I have to say is… Poorly Done Indeed! I am all for freedom of speech and respect for people’s political ideology (even if I disagree vehemently), but this is NOT the day for that. Thousands of innocent people died 12 years ago, not just Americans, but people from 90 countries, representing different races, religions and socioeconomic statuses. Many courageous heroes saved lives or died trying. By the Grace of God (whichever God you believe in – unless you don’t believe at all), many were spared. The people who died could have been anyone’s mother, brother, spouse or child (even yours). I, like so many other commuters, took a train into the WTC every single morning along with the son I was carrying (you met him, remember?). That day I did not, but other women with unborn children did and are no longer here. Please be respectful. I would never post anything political or humorous about something that resulted in so many deaths, regardless of my opinions of the government or the event itself. Today is a day to respect and pray for those who died, thank God for those who survived, and honor the heroes, all who so clearly demonstrated the courage, strength and selflessness of the human spirit. So FB friend and friend in life, I will still “like” some of your other posts, pictures of family and send you my love from all of us, but today just know I was a bit disappointed. Next time please don’t hit the “Share” button without giving some serious thought first.
