I NEVER write things like this, and make a point not to share my social, political, or religious views on Facebook or in public, but this really got me revved up... So I was changing in the locker room and am overhearing a conversation about the one guy seeing a Muslim man praying at a car wash, thinking he might have a bomb strapped to him, and that you never know with these da#@ Islamics. I listened to the conversation for a couple of minutes hearing the false and ignorant things they were saying before I couldnt hold my tongue anymore, and interrupted, I am upset by your conversation. Its his religion, they have to pray so many times a day and some times they just have to do it wherever they happen to be at the time; and if the guy wants to pray 1,000 times a day in a public place he should be able. He was shocked and looked dumb founded that someone would disagree, much less say something, and then countered with, Well, I know the Koran tells them to kill Christians. At this point I was losin it and needed to leave before I got in a fight in the LA Fitness locker room, but not before I corrected him, Thats bullsh$@! You dont know what youre talking about! Im no expert on the Koran, but Im pretty sure it teaches peace and love like every other religion! I know and work with a lot of people of many different religions and cultures and they are just like us, they have family, friends, goals, and aspirations, just different traditions and practices. Im offended and you should watch what you say when youre in a public place, and really rethink youre whole position and outlook. Ill leave now before this goes too far., and left. He didnt have much to say then, but Im sure they talked about me when I left, but whatever. I write this to hopefully inspire you to stand up for whats right when you see something wrong, whatever it may be. Act like John Quiñones is watching you on camera all the time!
