I PROMISED MYSELF THAT I WOULDNT DO THIS, BUT...From the deepest and most darkest shelves of the Dominguez Illustrations, vault are just but a samples of a comic strip I was working on. Jay Kennedy, who was the Comics Editor back then for King Features requested a Latino family themed comic strip around 1998-2000. I came up with COOL BEANS, submitted it and Jay called me personally to request some minor changes to it prior to being accepted. I had a hard time tweeking it but before I could send it off, I heard work that Jay died of a freak accident during his vacation at some resort in the tropics...man! What couldve been...!!?
