I, Purvesh Pratap Sarnaik, on behalf of MLA Eknathji Shinde, MLA Pratap Sarnaikji, 25 lakh residents of Thane as well as the 25 thousand youth are striving to start the Thane Metro. The reason to start the Metro would be to provide an alternate and convenient way for Thanekars to commute; and to do away with persisting traffic and congestion issues with the ever increasing population. Besides being a boon for the residents and office goers; the youth too will benefit immensely as there are many schools and colleges that are present on the proposed Metro route. However, due to a strong opposition as a result of subliminal or deliberate politics; the proposal of development has been put on hold. I request my fellow Thanekars to kindly sign the online petition (link provided below) so that we may take this matter ahead with Shri Nitinji Gadkari - Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India, and ensure Thane a better tomorrow.
