I RARELY rant about anything, but this STAAR test is going to make me loose my cool. My kid came home and told me that after she finished her test, she had to sit and do absolutely NOTHING for 2 hours. Not read a book, not put her head down to nap NOTHING!!! Am I being unreasonable in thinking that its too much to ask of a 10 year old to sit through the test AND then not allow them to do anything at all for the remainder of the 4 hours?!? Should my child be punished because shes able to finish her test in a 1 1/2 hours? If you cant tell, Im pretty peeved right now.
