I REMAIN IN APC – AKEEM ADEYEMI -----------------------; The Chairman of Atiba local government, Prince Akeem Adeyemi has spoken against the backdrop of his purported preparation to lead his supporters out of All Progressives Congress (APC) to join Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP). The National Assembly hopeful insisted that he and his supporters remained in the APC. The insinuation that Adeyemi’s camp in Oyo federal constituency would seek exit door from APC had been fuelled by the factional crisis in the party and reached a weighty dimension yesterday following heavy presence of PDP chieftains and members at the grand finale of Oranyan festival. But Addeyemi, while responding to Oyo Today said Oranyan festival was not a political affair and that APC leaders and members were also at the ceremnony, adding that “the deputy governor represented the governor who is out of the country. “APC leaders and LG bosses in Oyo were also there. “Definitely, PDP leaders and members are looking for relevance and their aspirants need attention. “But all my supporters and I remain in APC with our father’s blessing.”
