I REMEMBER NEW BRITAIN - yes, I do. But Im such a Pollyanna that I tend to recall my most pleasant memories rather than something that might have been negative. I remember the people and the buildings - beautiful architecture. I remember the churches, the schools, the theaters, the stores, the restaurants and even the factories. I remember the streets and the parks, and the houses and apartment buildings. Homes to all the residents of New Britain. The residents - the PEOPLE of New Britain. When someone posts a topic based on a memory, or a photo or postcard based on a memory, lets make an effort to give that post the respect it deserves. Maybe Im a dreamer, but lets try to avoid the negativity that starts controversy under someone elses memory - a precious memory they took the time to share with this group - I REMEMBER NEW BRITAIN. If you have something negative to say, post the topic yourself under your own post, even in this group, if you must. Im sure people will jump on the bandwagon to comment. This is not the proper place to air grievances or items that might cause a problem for other members. Lets grow up. (I almost posted this about two weeks ago, but told myself I would wait to see if it was really necessary to say this. It is.) Kathy
