I Remember - I remember how we woke up early on Saturday mornings to watch our favorite cartoons together. - I remember how I let you beat me in video games just so you can enjoy it too. - I remember when we were little kids and mum took us with her to the hair salon. We were bored and I decided to take us around the corner to the park and we played on the slide and then proceeded to throw our juice bottles from the top. You wore a black tshirt with a pink mini-mouse on it and black and white pants. Your hair was in a bob and you were adorable. - I remember you and your school friends walking past me and my friends during break time just to see what we were up to and make fun of us. - I remember us living in a tiny house and sharing a room with our sister. 3 of us in one room! 3 of us shared a double bunk bed. - I remember we had two huge boxes filled with toys and every now and then we would feel the need to empty both boxes on the floor and play with every single thing. - I remember some mornings when we fought the previous evening, we would walk separately to school, but I made sure you were in sight so I could make sure you are safe - I remember us enduring the hardest thing siblings go through…. Our parents getting divorced. This strengthened our bond, but it wasn’t all perfect because I had to be a brother and a father at home. - I remember us just scraping by with whatever we had. - I remember your face light up like never before when I surprised you by picking you up from work with my new car. You couldnt stop smiling the entire way home. I had to show it to you first. - I remember performing at a show and you were right in front. The light hit your face while I was on stage and I instantly felt ontop of the world because my baby sister was there…. Supporting her big brother. - I remember you had these big big big dreams of travelling the world and owning a classy coffee shop. I never told you this but in the back of my mind I always intended on helping you make those dreams a reality. - I remember you always asking me when am I going to start with my photography. You’d be so proud of me today - I remember you having the ability to effortlessly make me laugh harder than anyone ever could. - I remember how your hug could melt away all my stress and problems. - I remember you opening your eyes on that hospital bed when I called your name. You looked at me with fear in your eyes when you saw me crying - I remember you breaking my heart into thousands of pieces when you left this world, but Im not upset with you because I might have lost my baby sister, but I gained an angel up in the heavenly skies. - I remember many a night crying myself to sleep…. Missing you - I remember rushing to get to the toilets at work only to burst out into tears when I closed the door. Just so no one could see. - I remember sitting by your grave, shattered, promising you Id make you proud - I remember how you loved - I remember how you smiled - I remember how you cared - I remember… - I remember.. - I remember.
