”I Volunteer for the MS Walk & Run, you cannot put a price tag on this kind of Experience”. The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (1869-1948); Indian Political And Spiritual Leader I love to volunteer. It is something I do because, through it, I meet and work with amazing people to reach a common goal and achieve a purpose. I volunteer to give hope and support to people with MS. I have always had a very positive experience at the MS Walk: I see the volunteers come together to provide our community with a safe and positive environment. I have been a volunteer at the MS Walk for about eight years now, and it is always an incredible event. This year I am excited about the MS Society adding a run to the Lethbridge Walk event! It doesn’t matter if the day brings us rain, sunshine, or snow, the volunteers show up in parkas, rain gear, and warm gloves with a smile on their faces. It is always fun to see familiar faces and new faces. You cannot put a price tag on this kind of experience. You are part of a team of people who are positive, friendly, and all there for the same reason. If I can spend my time doing something I really like to do, then it is worth it for me. The volunteers you see on walk day are there for you – the walkers - who are also there because they have given a lot of their time - collecting pledges, making t-shirts, and making new connections. Come out on Walk & Run day. I would love for you to find me, or another volunteer, and introduce yourself. After all, that is what it is all about. Making new friends and supporting each other!
