I WEEP FOR MY NATION I implore and charge Mr. President to charge INEC to conduct a free, fair and credible elections. And let the wishes of the majority carry the day. And if it is Buhari that wins, I will congratulate him and braise up for the new reality and leave by it. And if he miraculously does anything good and commendable I will be the first to commend him. I remember once challenging the GST lecturer that taught me the political aspect of GST 103 Nigerian Peoples and Culture for being overtly critical of Obasanjos administration. My grouse? Rather than mention both bad and good achievements of OBJ, she only dwell on his negatives. I remembered that incidence led her give the whole class an assignment to do a critique of the OBJs administration. Back to our discussion, to the best of my knowledge 2011 election had much elements of credibility except if those foreign observers that gave it a pass mark swindled us or took us on another ride. But one thing that did baffle me and continues to baffle is why did the supporters of Buhari take up arms against innocent citizens in the states where he had won? Because someone had charged them to, Lynch anyone who steals your vote (mandate). And this same Buhari knows how his people reason- a people that some among them had once gathered to avenge the suffering of Palestinians in the hands of Israel, and my question was, when did I become an Israeli?- and yet he charged them with such an assignment. And to them, logically if Buhari could win in Baluchi, he must also win Rivers, if he could win in Kano, then his mandate must have been stolen in Enugu, so they carried out his assignment dutifully. I weep for my nation. And this same man came out to say if what happened in 2011 repeat itself the dogs and the baboons will be soaked in blood. Two things happened in 2011 : 1) A free and fair election was held 2) Buhari lost the election. My question, for which of these two will the dogs and baboons be sucked in blood? I hope that Zarah, Buharis beautiful daughter schooling in the UK, will be there to lead team dogs or team baboons as the case may be. I weep for my nation.
