But Abreu has yet to cross paths with former Cuban teammate Yasiel Puig, and he isnt going to push it. I havent had the opportunity to talk to him, Abreu said through an interpreter. Id love to when we have some time and he gives me the chance to, especially with us being from the same town, Cienfuegos. They could be the two biggest stars to come out of Cuba, if Abreu lives up to his hype. Puig, 23, defected in 2012, signed a seven-year, $42 million contract with the Dodgers and became an instant sensation after they called him up from the minors last June.
