I WOKE UP THIS MORNING and my thoughts drifted to a wonderful old anthropos (man) but not just any a man but a beautiful person who has not been that well recently being home bound and nursing the ravages of old age ; a revered old man; a philosopher; a humanist filled with kindness; a theologian and a devoted sentinel to his religion with a pure mind. He has my great respect, so much that I have changed the name of my character in my published novel Porphyra in Purple and substituted for his. I dont normally paint icons but this painting is my own tribute to such a rarely found old man in todays society. It is my way to wish him a Merry Christmas and a quick recovery. It also sad to say time waits for no-one!
