Or another influence has injected anarchism into the libertarian ideology for the purpose of seeing it fail A fundamental precept of true libertarianism is that institution is necessary to secure liberty and that institution also needs to be limited...to secure liberty Not secure as in get but secure as in protect. When I say liberties , I define those as common rights... Liberty without the context of morality could mean unfettered ability to do anything ie anarchy. Some degree of order is necessary to secure rights Rights are higher arguments than liberties. A right exists where an ability may or may not exist. For example you could say man has the right to fly but did not have the liberty to fly until the airplane was invented conversely an exigent ability does not create a right Classically as with common law we generally regard liberty as those rights which we share in common ie liberties in common. Not common as in public but common as in everyone has the same right peculiar means special or different Peculiar liberties which by their nature necessarily infringe or aggress our common rights we regard as wrongs and we create laws to prevent and punish the enjoyment of these Liberties which by their nature have a great likelihood to injure common rights... or cause great injury to common rights we call privileges and we write laws and regulations to direct how these liberties should be enjoyed so that greater liberties are not injured. That is MY definition of libertarianism in My words
