I Was thinking about the pleasant face at a fast food establishment who diligently pushed a button with a picture of a hamburger on it, and then one with a picture of a soda, and then one with the corporate logo for Pepsi, and finally one with a picture of a dollar sign, causing a receipt to feed out of the front of her machine, and some guy dressed just like the girl at the cash register to put a burger in a bag, while another girl hit a button that automatically filled a cup with ice to the 3/4 mark, and dispense Pepsi to the top of the cup. Then the nice lady wearing a tag that read Hi, Im.... but the sticky with her name had fallen off) placed a lid on the cup, put a straw into the bag, and placed it all on the counter in front of me and said, Can I take your order?. I told her that what she just put on the counter was my order, prompting her to request some proof before she would release it to me.......... Why have we allowed ourselves to get to the point where we accept low quality food, served by inexperienced servers, asking for wages that many highly experienced office workers dont get? I see this everywhere I go these days... Im sorry asking Paper or Plastic? isnt a skill. Granted, $15.00 an hour aint much, but you need to bring something to the table if you want to get it.
