I a not a denomination KDS: I have to share this lol check it out. I was just in the store and ran into an old preacher friend, we talked for a while in the parking lot. So he asked, So what are you now Kevin, still Baptist right....No sir. Oh ok I know you have that Pentecostal spirit so you must be either that or Apostolic because you love to shout and dance......No sir. What have you turned and become COGIC, Ive seen you at a few of their services.....No sir. With a smile on my face I was waiting for more, but I could tell he was getting frustrated with this question of denomination being such a challenge for him. So I gave up, and said this with all honesty...Brother now that my eyes have been opened, and I have a relationship with the the Father, I am a CHRISTIAN. I believe that Jesus Christ walked this earth, healed, delivered, taught, forgave, and ministered to the people. I believe that He was accused of wrong when He did no wrong. I believe that He was placed on the cross, beaten, mocked, pierced, and nailed with blood and sweat rushing down His body. I believe that He was taken down, placed in a borrowed tomb, only to to be resurrected by the Father on the 3rd day, and now His Spirit dwells within me today. I am a Christian and there is no division in my belief I believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, the evidence and power of the use of gifts, the power of prayer, healing, and flow of true worship, the speaking of unknown tongues, and prophetic inspiration with interpretation,, and I believe God can use ANYONE Man, Woman, Child, to speak His Word from any position in the church, from the pulpit to the back pew.. People...that conversation came to a quick end and Ill just say he will probably not be speaking with me for a while.
