I absolutely adore the Parisian Movie Culture. As people have to - TopicsExpress

I absolutely adore the Parisian Movie Culture. As people have to wait outside the theater until the film begins, you see the nocturnal streets fill with tender excitement for film. Its a unique expression of urban enchantment. There is just no better place in the world for a cinephile, you can see the entire canon of the 20th century cinematic avantgarde on a daily basis - Bunuel, Kubrick, Bergman, you name it. Its my perfect plan for a holiday in a bad weather period: go to Paris and see 2 or 3 grand movies a day. I hope the French will always defend their cult of the cinema as part of their exception culturelle, regardless of DVD, netflix and all the other crap that is slowly killing that precious biotope of the celluloid.
