I accept the 5 day B&W Challenge from my fellow Newspaper (San Juan Star) and wire service (UPI) photojournalist Roso Juan Sabalones. This is the first of five photos. I also challenge former El Vocero chief photographer and now Professor of Photography Howard Goldbaum in Reno. My photos were only possible, because I had a great helicopter pilot who flew me the 90 miles from San Juan to St Thomas and back. My photos appeared around the world via the AP. It ran front page in most newspapers the following day. This was my second air crash with the same flight number at the same airport, four years earlier. Here is what Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia had to say about the disaster : American Airlines Flight 625 An American Airlines Boeing 727-100 (N1929, S/N 19387), similar to the aircraft involved in the accident. The 100 model has a vertically oblong air inlet to the center engine (dorsal inlet), the 200 model inlet is round. Additionally, the Model 200 is 20 ft. longer than the Model 100, 10ft. in front and 10ft. aft of the wing.
