I accepted the ALS #icebucketchallenge given to me by my sister Jennifer in honor and memory of my amazingly brave father Steve Nemchek who lost his battle to this cruel and horrifying disease four years ago. Often referred to as Lou Gehrigs Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. I challenge Wendy Gartside, Valerie Collado, and Shira Goldberg.
