I actually believe that there are plenty of cops who are good, decent people, and who detest racist murderers. I have known some personally. But they are awfully shy about making their existence publicly known; and so they let people think that (for example) the despicable jackasses of the St. Louis Police Officers’ Association are entirely typical. Now would be a good time for honest police officers to overcome their reticence.
