I actually cried watching Hannibal tonight. I was hoping Beverly would survive but what an awful way to dispose of her and it seems he took her kidneys. Too bad Will didnt succeed with his plan. I like Mads Mikkaelsen, hes a very good actor but boy do I hate Hannibal Lecter. Wonder where Thomas Harris found the inspiration for that devil. When you see the movie starring Gaspard Ulliel as the young Hannibal, you cannot even understand how he came to be a cannibal. All the time he didnt know how his sister died and what happened to her, even as he grew up, he wasnt one and suddenly when he finds out, he becomes one! Her killers never again touched human flesh as they had killed her out of necessity. What happens to Beverly reminded me of that scene in The Cell where you see the horse cut in several pieces. Poor Beverly! Gideon tells Will at some point that the only way to catch the Chesapeake reaper is to kill him and I believe hes right. God, I miss Philip Seymour Hoffman as Freddy Lane! That was one good thing about Red Dragon along with Ralph Fiennes and Edward Norton. Watched my favorite movie to forget Hannibal so basically I watched Dear Frankie and now Im homesick for Scotland! Go figure! Im not even Scottish but Id be on the next plane anytime if I could. Good night and pleasant dreams. To those working have a nice day!
