I admired Kaiser-Kalusha Lusaka, March 19, 2014, ZANIS --- Football Association of Zambia (FAZ)President Kalusha Bwalya has described the late National Soccer Team Defender Kaiser Kalambo as a Soccer Legend. This is according to a press statement released to ZANIS by FAZ Communications Manager Nkweto Tembwe in Lusaka today. Kalusha Bwalya said he was saddened at the passing away of a great footballer whom he said had a distinguished career with the National Soccer Team then popularly known as KK Eleven. “ Let me express my deepest sympathy on learning of the passing of soccer legend Kaiser Kalambo. On behalf of the members of Zambian football and indeed on my own behalf, I wish to convey my deepest condolences to his family, friends and relatives “, said Bwalya. The FAZ President said he had great respect and admiration for Kalambo because of what he had done for Zambian football. Bwalya said Kalambo was a great modern day defender whom players should emulate because he was one of the best in his generation. The late Kaiser Kalambo who played club football at Ndola United during his time was conferred with life membership of FAZ. The former KK eleven defender was an instrumental and pivotal member of the 1974 National Team that earned legendary status when it scored a draw against then dreaded Zaire in an epic Africa Cup final before losing in extra time.
