I advise Nigerians of different ethnic groups to exercise caution in this early condemnation of Professor Attairu Jegas INEC creation of more new polliing units in the North than in the South. Logically, the North has a wider geographical spread than the South judging from the map of Nigeria. The North we are saying here also included Kwara and Kogi states whose votes are not usually pro North. If we insist on equal Polling Units for North and South, we are literally sentencing Northerners to longer distances between their homes and nearest polling unit. Allocation of more polling units does not translate into allocation of voters IF there are no manipulations of voters register. Jega as a person on his appointment received an unprecedented widest acceptance in the history of Nigeria. We should not forget also that this same Jega conducted the 2011 poll where Southern Jonathan won and Buhari/ Ribadu from North lost. Then no one atributed Jonathans electoral victory to higher number of PUs in the South. Any attempt to paint Professor Attahiru Jega as partisan or pro North at this point in time is to put the entire process of 2015 elections in jeopardy. We may never recover from the impending chaos these unfounded allegations of this patroitism personified called Attahiru Jega is capable of causing. Let us all support INEC and Professor Jega with prayer and Nigeria will have a peaceful and credible elections come 2015. GOD BLESS NIGERIA!.
