I agree that it is very sad and surprising that Ms. Emma Watson has been hailed as the next game-changing feminist. It was an OK speech, but maybe it would have sounded more radically feminist if she had said this 50 years ago. Now, you need to take into account a variety of other factors aside from the binary male-female, tough-soft, straight-gay, white-black, and whatever other kinds of ridiculous reductivism that exist. We need to be past these archaic ways of understanding the world. How long till then? The world is moving there, but the words, law, policy are not yet up to par. Thank you, Ms. McKenzie for another fierce input into a much needed dialogue.
