I agree we humans have destroyed the ability for countless species to thrive. I do feel bad for our ancestors the great apes and the other 3 related species. I believe if we had not we would not be as advanced as we are today. We won out as the most intelligent species as claimed the land of the earth. If another species had been able to accomplish that task, we may already have been extinct. I want to see other life found but I am very skeptical on the first public encounters. I think Europa and mars x are good way to comfirm but I think a good thing to keep in mind is if our earth spawned thousands to millions of species then another world could do the same and think of the diversity among species on this planet. Species like the shark or wolf who straight predators and eat whatever they can. We may lead or has our first public alien visitors end up being, in essence space sharks that follow us home and destroy life as we know it or our entire existence.
